More About Us

Why are we doing this?

In 2020, Simon lost his mum to Melanoma at the much too young age of 63. At that time he decided to raise $10,000 in her name for charity.

He found an old Fairmont on the side of the road for $570 and set it up as a charity bash car. Over a few events since then team Drambusters raised approximately $7000 of the $10,000 goal.

This year Simon, along with his family and friends, is entering two events - the Shitbox Rally and the Lunchbox Rally.

Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 14th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000. This rally will run from Bendigo to Townsville

Lunchbox Rally is a new event for Parents and kids. Simon and his eldest son Harrison need to raise $3000.

All money donated goes directly to the Cancer Council, to support the work they've been known for for years.

Donations of any size will be gratefully received. If you wish, you can donate $500 or more and join West End Chiropractic and Health Care, Wangaratta Glass & Aluminium, Returns Plus, JCS Industries, The Urban Yardsmith, Grimshaw Signs and MicrotechDPS as named sponsors of my vehicle, with your logo placed proudly on the car for as long as it lives.
